Laura J. Warren, RN is the Director of Health and Wellness. Laura has over thirty years of experience in health care, has been a registered nurse since 1985 and, prior to joining the AmericanWay team, nearly ten years of experience in the hospice arena. Laura’s thorough understanding of what becomes important to people in the later stages of life makes her the perfect choice to oversee the medical aspect of AmericanWay’s services. In Laura’s role as Director of Health and Wellness she is knowledgeable and interprets state regulations, coordinates and provides direction for resident health care issues, develops and implements AmericanWay health related policies and procedures and provides support to the administrators when it comes to the health and wellness of AmericanWay residents and employees. Laura is an approved instructor to teach the state mandated curriculums for First Aid and Safety, Standard Precautions and Medication Administration.
Sarah Jordan is the Business Office Manager. Sarah has over ten years of experience in the assisted living environment. She started as a resident assistant in assisted living in 2000, was promoted to Direct Care Supervisor and had progressed to the Administrator position by the time that AmericanWay purchased the North View Gardens homes in 2007. When Sarah’s administrative and financial talents were recognized she was asked to assume the Business Office Manager position and has served in that capacity for the past three years. Sarah oversees the payroll, resident invoicing and vendor payment functions. Since taking charge of the business office Sarah has automated the time clocks and scheduling processes, implemented a 401k plan for AmericanWay employees and assured that health insurance was added as an employee benefit.
Brianna K. Ramirez is the Director of Corporate Culture. Brianna’s BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources is the perfect background to lead AmericanWay administrators and direct care staff members to excellence. Brianna acts as an advocate for both the residents and the staff members. Her ability to coach and mentor employees is reaping rewards in the areas of staff retention and satisfaction. Brianna’s passion to create a compassionate workplace in addition to delivering high quality service to AmericanWay residents assures that the corporate culture matches the AmericanWay vision.
